Three Act Questions
Movie: Shooter (2007)

The Hook: Just a few minutes in I was already hooked to this action thriller. The movie starts off with a sniper and his spotter backing up incoming American soldiers. Unexpectedly, enemy soldiers appear from out of nowhere and engage with the American soldiers. As their job, the sniper, Mark Wahlberg, and his shooter snipe and take out many of the enemies. In the middle of the battle, an enemy helicopter is called in and the sniper and his spotter are both spotted. The helicopter flies in and takes out the spotter, who is also his best friend and so the movie begins.

The Complications:
After they have been spotted, the sniper cannot report back from base and cannot contact anyone. He is surprised later to find out that he was not meant to survive the fight. With the loss of his best friend, and the reality of the his planned death, he vows for revenge and to end the corruption in America.

The Call to Action:
The death of his best friend is what motivates him mostly throughout the movie but at parts, the government hides more and more from him and try to kill Mark Wahlberg often which fires him up even more. The call to action never stops.

The End of Act I Plot Point:
Mark Wahlberg first retires for 15 years until one day a black SUV pulls up his forest cottage and asks for his help to find out an assassination attempt on the president. He agrees to serve his nation one last time.

ACT II
The Extra-Ordinary World: The extra ordinary world is when Mark Wahlberg is later framed and acknowledges that it was all planned out, once again. This time he won’t stop till he finds the source.

Mid point:
The mid point of the movie would be when everything starts to unfold and more becomes explained and more characters appear and more people die from Mark Wahlberg. By the way, in the movie he is one of the best snipers in the world.

Low point:
The low point would definitely be when the whole country is searching for him. The assassination of the president is a huge thing. Around every corner he had to be careful. He had to buy his necessities by cutting out electricity of a convenient store and claiming its an emergency.

ACT 3
Hero’s recovery: The hero’s recovery would be when he meets his best friends wife 15 years later and they catch up and he starts to have feelings for her later on.

The Ticking Clock: More chasing and revealing takes place and Mark Wahlberg is starting to finally find an end to the chaos. It all leads back to one of the governers in Washington.

The Big Showdown: The big showdown takes place near the snow mountains when a bunch of mind games take place. Mark Wahlberg , being the best sniper was supposed to meet up with the governor regarding tradeoff. Yet he knew it was a trap. He sent in a recruit of his and saved his life once and is now returning the favor. From far away, wearing a bunch of layers, the face is barely noticeable. The governor arrives with snipers all around camouflaged in white waiting for Mark. When a figure appears in the distance, the governor immediately thinks its Mark and the snipers shoot him. Obviously, it wasn’t Mark and his friend was prepared. He had a huge metal plate that protected him, yet the bullet dent in the metal still broke a few of his ribs. After the snipers fire, Mark, who also is camouflaged know where all the snipers are and takes them out one by one, In the end, Mark Wahlberg walks down from the mountain alone.

The Growth of the Hero:
He doesn' t kill the governor cause that would prove nothing. He gains the respect and trust of all using his skills. He is smart and experienced yet he would not kill anyone.

The script should follow the following four points, and use a combination of still images, footage from the actual films, and researched information. You may handle this in any manner of styles. The more creative, the better. You can rely entir...

Great! Well done Joe! I want to suggest you think about watching "Strangers on a Train" rather than "Notorious". I'm sure there are those that would disagree, but I think its a better film. You could watch both if you prefer! ;)

Good start, Eugene! I'd like you to be sure to include The Game in your final project- its my favorite of his films, and I think you'll enjoy it as well.
