This scene I picked is when Joel is about to deliver Clementine a valentines gift, at the bookstore. At this scene, Clementine has already washed her memory, and totally forgot Jack, and it is at this scene that Jack becomes a "stranger". There were very few background music used in this movie, in fact, there were only around four scenes that background music was used. The sound on the background at the beginning of this movie was mostly people, crowd speaking, which symbolizes the amount of people, partner, cooperation, and society in the city. There were foreshadows right at the beginning of the movie. When Sen and her parents were on the car, at the city where there are people around, the car drove slow and smoothly as if it was a calm day. However, when it went into the mountains, the car speeded up, and the car was bumping around with the rough rocky ground. This presented to the audience, a strange force that is pulling them to that place, foreshadowing there is going to be something that is strange going to happen.
