weekly blog post. misenscene from MiLK

The movie i watche dthis week was milk and ther scene i chose was one of the ones from the very end of the film. a very powerful and moving scene in which harvey milk is shot by dan white. The scene before leads up to this scene with the sound effects and the looks of the peoples faces given it a very evil and suspicious feeling to what was about to happen. As dan white enters the room there is irony because we know what is going to happen but harvey milk doesnt. As harvey is shot the camera goe… Continue

music video idea: when i grow up

As the intro of the song plays before the singing starts there are clips in slow motion of me sliding up a tie onto my suit and colar and also of my friends walking up the stairs into brilliance mall. As the singing kicks in the shot cuts to shots of my friends running up the stairs of the mall heading towards the play/arcade area. All of them are having a good time and looking back and forth at each other because they know what thjey are about to be doing. Which is causing trouble and acting im… Continue

The seventh Seal by ingmar bergmans.

in the first scene of the fim The first technique that we see is a written allusion, alluding to the 14th century and the time of the black plague which helps the audience grasp a feel for the setting and situation on the time. After stating the setting there is a high toned chorus of people singing christian music which is the second film technique, sound effects. The third technique we see is symbolism, which is portrayed by showing a crow flying in the sky which symbolises the coming of death… Continue

Fargo scene analysis by kai wegener

Fargo ch20
The first technique i noticed in this scene and throughout most the movie was the use of irony. One part of the scene where this is seen is when we see weasels partner running towards weasel with a large stick/axe looking object, we know what is about to happen, but weasel is unaware of this because his back is turned. Another example of irony can be seen when weasel asks his partner if they are square and when he does he pulls his jacket to the side and flashes his gun, implying that… Continue

The script should follow the following four points, and use a combination of still images, footage from the actual films, and researched information. You may handle this in any manner of styles. The more creative, the better. You can rely entir...

Great! Well done Joe! I want to suggest you think about watching "Strangers on a Train" rather than "Notorious". I'm sure there are those that would disagree, but I think its a better film. You could watch both if you prefer! ;)

Good start, Eugene! I'd like you to be sure to include The Game in your final project- its my favorite of his films, and I think you'll enjoy it as well.
