About Me:
Hello everybody. I am currently having a hard time writing about myself I was never one to be comfortable doing it, so I am just going tell you some random things about me.

I am turning 18 on February 11, so presents would be greatly appreciated. Haha just kidding. My point is that I am turning 18 soon but I have the hearing of a 70-year-old. When talking to me it is crucial that you don't whisper.

I like softball. Softball is known to be one of those "lazy" sports, but hey, not as easy as it looks. I am actually pretty good at it. Okay maybe that it an exaggeration, but I would say that I am not that bad at it.

I absolutely love singing. Singing always takes me to my happy place.

I have only ever been to two schools in my life, YCIS and SAS, making this year my 16th year in Shanghai. I practically grew up here. It was pretty amazing watching Shanghai develop into the metropolis of China.

I am absolutely terrified about the future, and not getting into any colleges yet is definitely not helping me sanity :S

I LOVE watching films so I am actually pretty excited about learning how to watch movies differently. To be able to really analyze a film will make me truly appreciate film and cinematography more than I already do.

Okay so maybe there aren't a lot of random facts about me on here. I told you I wasn't good at talking about myself. Anyhow I'll update this from time to time one of think of more random facts about me.

Analysis of the First 25 Shots of Con Air

In Con Air, Director Simon West utilizes a range of shots as well as a variety of camera movements to not only establish the setting and introduce characters but also to establish the fast pace at which the film moved in. The opening scene is a montage of soldiers in war with a voiceover that connects into the next scene where the soldiers are being saluted, indicating the end of the battle. Long shots and panning are used to introduce the hometown of Cameron Poe, one of the soldiers and… Continue

You're probably thinking "where is Joe's analysis?". Well, there's no way for me to exclude the tardiness on this work other than that i am a lazy bum and never get my work done :) Anyways, here it is. I chose to analyse the scene where the expla...

Group - Right now the idea is too complex and the story arc is too vague. You ask too many questions and answer none of them. What is dystopian about the society? How is that representative of China? How can you represent this dystopia? What are s...

I thought Cailin's analysis was very well done, she seemed to touch upon all points and definitely studied the scene. She touched upon very specific points such as what the shadows on the face indicated, how the cuts were used and associated key p...
