1. Camera Angles
Wes Anderson effectively used a variety of angles to draw the audience into the film. One of the most effective and noticeable angle changes was when the brothers are first meeting on the train. The angle changes based on whoever is perceiving the scene or talking in the scene (camera where Francis should be when he is talking to his brothers, then switches to brothers watching Francis talk).

1. Color Choices & 2. Use of “Stage” to Set Film
The opening five minutes foreshadowed the major conflict of the film. The first scene depicted Tina (Rosie Perez) dancing on what appeared to be a stage made to look like Brooklyn.
