1. Ridley Scott
2. I will watch Black Hawk Down, Gladiator, and American Gangster.
3. The three stylistic choices which my director is known for:
-Uses slow pacing until action scenes where it becomes frequent and rapid cuts.
-Using three cameras all at the same time to get more options while filming.
-The use of classical music

3. Themes:
-Ridley Scott uses the same theme of mostly the relationships between sons and their fathers. In some of his films, later the son kills the father either on purpose or accidently or also in some of his movies, as the son grows up he starts to discover who his father is.
- The use of strong female characters

Additional effect: i want to use smoke.
3. Themes:
-Ridley Scott employs a simple theme of good and evil that is reinforced through images of light and darkness. The light being the good which is obvious and the dark being the evil. This theme is supported by the Mis-en-scene which in most cases in Ridley Scotts films contribute to the general image blatantly showing the ideas of good and evil.

I chose Quentin Tarantino to do for my documentary. I chose him because he's known for lots and lots of blood in his movies and I usually prefer to stay awayy from that sort of genre.

I will watch Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, and Reservoir Dogs

His stylistic choices that he is known for is usuaslly framing characters in doorways and having them open and close doors. and characters cooly talk through an intense situation either delaying intense violence or avoiding it through resolution.

i'm not sure about what themes he explores cause i haven't watched any of his films yet..

I have Inglorious Basterds and I think it is more Pulp/Reservoir than Kill Bill. Tell me if you want it.

Harold Ramis.
I will watch Caddyshack, Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters.
Stylistic Choices --- Muted colors, compressing time and .....humor
Themes --- His films were noted for attacking "the smugness of institutional life ... with an impish good [will] that is unmistakably American". Ramis frequently depicts the qualities of "anger, curiosity, laziness, and woolly idealism" in "a hyper-articulate voice".

They are also noted for "Ramis's signature tongue-in-cheek pep talks”.Sloppiness and improv are also important aspects of his work.

1. Who is your director?
Bong Joon Ho
2. Which 3 films will you watch?
"Memories of Murder", "The Host", "Mother"
3. List three stylistic choices that your director is known for.
We can see common choices he makes for all of his movies.
First: is that all the main characters in his movies are people who you can find easily. They are the ordinary people with the most ordinary life. They could be one of your friends, neighbors, etc.
Second: All the titles of his movies are very contradicting to the plot of the story or sometimes has a hidden meaning. For example, word memories (Chu uk in Korean) in "Memories of the Murder" indicates a happy memory in korean. However, the story is about murder.
Third: He adds many humors into his movie.
4. List one or two major themes that your director explores
Director Bong makes movies with themes regarding to family. For example, the movie "the Host" , tells the importance about family and love. For "Mother", however tells how the love in family can sometimes be a tenacity, or possesive.

It's a good review, but one problem is that it's not entirely an analysis. I had this problem in the beginning of the year until I really pushed myself after practicing and getting fracking own$d by DG. In the first part when you mentioned "On th...

You have some really great points with the cinematography and set. One thing you should look at when you watch Pulp/Kill/or IB are some commonalities. The thing you mentioned about the color happens a lot in those three types of movies. However, s...
